Florida’s 6th District residents are struggling with rising gas, food, and housing costs under the Biden economy. Since 2020, energy costs have increased by $218 per month, grocery bills by $280 per month, and housing prices by $100,000 due to excessive regulations. Floridians need a representative who supports President Trump’s energy deregulation policies to reduce inflation and ease the burden of unnecessary regulations. With conservative leadership, families could save $1,056 each month, putting more money in their pockets and relieving financial strain. Washington should work to help, not harm, Florida families.
Florida schools can lead the nation in education by returning control to the states and abolishing the Department of Education. I will work with local faith leaders to promote early learning programs and ensure all FL-6 schools achieve Gold Seal status, addressing federal needs during the transition to state control. Post-transition, I’ll advocate for fully funding Florida’s education system, expanding vocational training in fields like medical technology, agriculture, computer hardware, and supporting tuition-free community college. These initiatives will equip our youth with education and real-world experience, creating a brighter future for Florida families.
I will work with state and federal agencies to create a streamlined system where all relevant parties collaborate efficiently. Reasonable regulations are essential to protect clean air, water, beaches, and sea turtle nesting areas while supporting our growing population.
When it comes to energy, I’ll take an “all of the above” approach—expanding domestic production, embracing renewables, nuclear power, and critical mineral mining. Reliable, affordable energy is key to meeting America’s needs while protecting our environment. From day one, my focus will be to Make Energy Affordable Again.
Social Security and healthcare benefits should increase at the same rate as the interest on 30-year government bonds, ensuring American seniors don’t have to wonder if they’ll receive a benefit increase each year. Congress must also collaborate with state leaders to attract more general practitioners to underserved areas and work bipartisanly to address high insurance costs. Americans should not pay more for medications than Europeans, and we need to develop infrastructure to manufacture them domestically. Additionally, substance abuse and mental health initiatives must remain a priority, with local leaders and faith communities working together to improve overall community well-being
I have experienced firsthand the challenges posed by airport and traffic congestion, which directly impact our communities and quality of life. St. Johns County, Flagler County, and Marion County are all seeking to upgrade their facilities to better accommodate growing air traffic and ensure smoother transportation. I am committed to working closely with local leaders to secure the federal funding necessary to support these upgrades and foster a prosperous and safe future for our home district. Additionally, I will advocate for increased federal investment to address critical issues like flooding and beach erosion, protecting our district’s resilience for years to come.
The right to keep and bear arms should not be infringed, but in recent years, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) has become overly aggressive in its enforcement. For instance, minor errors on applications, like a misspelled word, can lead to denials or even prosecution, risking the livelihoods of Federal Firearms Licensed dealers. I believe ATF should collaborate with these dealers, not oppose them. I propose federal funding for state and local governments to offer free gun safety classes, improving safety, accuracy, and confidence—an area where we can all find common ground.
I will continue to advocate for HR 9745, the "Lifesaving Gear for Police Act," which provides state and local law enforcement with military surplus equipment to do their jobs, countering the limitations of Executive Order 14074. While EO 14074 aimed to promote fair justice, it inadvertently restricted law enforcement by banning chokeholds, limiting no-knock entries, and imposing unnecessary federal regulations on local police practices. I will propose amendments to ensure law enforcement has the tools they need, protect officers from overreach, and maintain local control over law enforcement decisions, such as body camera usage and response to behavioral crises. Additionally, I’ll work to remove stigmas surrounding law enforcement by engaging with faith-based leaders, ensuring officers are supported, and working toward criminal justice reform. It’s crucial that all Americans feel safe in their communities, and law enforcement must be properly equipped and respected to ensure that safety.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development currently manages over 1 million homes, creating a cycle of dependency that limits community pride and ownership. I will support transferring ownership of HUD-managed homes to the residents, allowing them to build pride and stability through homeownership. Additionally, I will advocate for Economic Development Zones in FL-6 to encourage local business growth and provide financial incentives for citizens to start businesses. After starting my own construction business, I learned firsthand the challenges of navigating the Small Business Administration. I propose expanding SBA offices to every congressional district, offering accessible support for new entrepreneurs, ensuring government works for the people and helps them thrive.
The United States must regain its position as a global leader, as the last four years of foreign policy have been a failure. Under President Trump, the world experienced relative peace, exemplified by the Abraham Accords, which promoted lasting peace between Israel and several Arab nations. I will unconditionally support Israel's defense and expand the Accords, encouraging Palestine to join if they seek peace. I also support the expansion of naval bases in Japan and the re-establishment of the Taiwan Defense Command, funded through a 100-year lease agreement with Taiwan and Japan. On Ukraine, I do not support further weapons or funds, and a peace deal will be negotiated under President Trump's leadership. We will continue to support NATO but hold members accountable for their financial contributions. On Iran, we must stop the flow of money to limit its ability to cause global instability. My goal is a stronger defense and partnerships to prevent future crises.
